Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 Pro

Samsung released its Galaxy Watch 4 and the Galaxy Watch 4 Classic back in August 2021, meaning they’re both nearly a year old now. Still, we think they’re one of the best smartwatches you can buy right now. As torch-bearers of Google’s new Wear OS 3, both the Galaxy Watch 4 and the Galaxy Watch 4 Classic had a lot to offer. But it’s 2022 now which means there’s a new model on the horizon — the rumored Galaxy Watch 5. We’re still a couple of weeks away from a potential unveiling at Samsung’s ‘Galaxy Unpacked’ event but we already know a lot about the new watch. So let’s catch up on some of the leaks, rumors, and pretty much everything we know about Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy Watch

Most of the current rumours the Galaxy Watch 5’s hardware focuses on its battery life. Initial reports claimed the Galaxy watch 5 could come with 276 mah battery while the watch 5 classic could come with a 397 mah. Its possible the watch 5 classic’s battery is simply the larger standard model of the Galaxy Watch 5. There have also been reposts of a watch 5 pro with a 572 mah battery and there have been claims of the wireless charging speed increasing to 10 watt instead of 5w.

The Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 price could be the same as the Galaxy Watch 4’s price. The Galaxy Watch 4 starts at $249.99 for the 40mm Bluetooth model and $299.99 for the 40mm LTE model. The Galaxy Watch 4 Classic starts at $349.99 for the 42mm Bluetooth model and $399.99 for the 42mm LTE model.

If the Galaxy Watch 5 doesn’t come in two configurations, we could see greater variation in the price. It could even resurrect the Samsung Galaxy Watch 3’s original $399 starting price, which mirrors the Apple Watch 7’s cost.

Or, the Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 price might be higher than expected. According to a new rumor, the price of the upcoming Samsung smartwatch series would be an increase from the current Galaxy Watch models.
