Panasonic announced the Toughbook S1 Android tablet in India for Rs 98,000: Important information can be found here-

Panasonic's Toughbook S1 Rugged tablet has been formally introduced in India by the Japanese electronics giant Panasonic. This new tablet features a Snapdragon 660 processor as well as an extended battery pack.
Panasonic's durable tablet features a 7-inch IPS LCD panel with a WXGA resolution. Apart from that, the Panasonic Toughbook S1 tablet comes with NFC and a barcode reader. Panasonic claims that the new tablet performs well even in severe environments and increases productivity. In May, the rugged tablet was officially launched in the United States.

At a starting price of Rs 98,000, the tablet would be offered through Pansonic distributors and system integrators. Panasonic claims that the tablet comes with two battery sizes and that it can run for up to 14 hours on a single charge.
The tablet is drop resistant (minimum 1.5 M) and can work in temperatures ranging from -20 to 50 degrees Celsius. A 7-inch "outdoor-viewable" display is included. The Toughbook S1 can be used in the rain and can be used with gloved hands or an optional passive pen for improved operation.

It has a rear-facing 13MP camera and a front-facing 5MP camera. It has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 processor, 4GB of RAM, and 64GB of eMMC 5.1 storage onboard. It is equipped with an Adreno 512 GPU.
The Toughbook S1 has 4G LTE, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v5.1, NFC, a USB Type-C port, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and one port replicator for connectivity. The Toughbook S1 can also be equipped with a barcode scanner or an extra USB connection.

"We witnessed a 10% growth in Toughbook business over last year, with demand coming primarily from the pharmaceutical, automotive, defence, and government verticals, and expect to maintain good growth momentum in the upcoming year," said Vijay Wadhawan, Director, System Solutions Division, and Panasonic India.

The Toughbook FZ-S1 was created with the goal of increasing efficiency, functionality, portability, ruggedness, necessary usability, and flexibility.
