5 tech giants led by CEOs of Indian origin
Google, Microsoft, Adobe, IBM, Palo Alto Networks, and Twitter now have CEOs who grew up in India, which could be the best message for Indians.
Sundar Pichai is the CEO of Google, Satya Nadella is the CEO of Microsoft, Shantanu Narayen is the CEO of Adobe, Arvind Krishna is the CEO of IBM, Nikesh Arora is the CEO of Palo Alto Networks, and Parag Agrawal is the CEO of Twitter.
Just an hour after news of his departure began to surface, Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey announced his departure from the firm. Dorsey, on the other hand, admitted the rumors' veracity in a message on Twitter, adding that after 16 years with the company, it is time for him to stand down.
There had been a lot of speculation about who might be the next CEO, and Dorsey's announcement put an end to it. According to the 45-year-old, Parag Agarwal, who was born in India, will now run the company.
Agarwal, a former student of IIT Bombay, joined Twitter in 2011 and ascended through the ranks to become the company's Chief Technology Officer (CTO) by 2018.
He also has a Ph.D. in Philosophy from Stanford University, where he studied Computer Science. Additionally, the new Twitter CEO has held positions at Microsoft and AT&T.
Dorsey, who recently quit as CEO, is worth $12.3 billion, with Square accounting for more than $10 billion. He's made a public pledge to donate a significant percentage of his Square stock to charitable causes.
