For example, Nvidia and Jaguar Land Rover have announced a collaboration in which Nvidia's Drive Hyperion 8 platform would be utilized in the latter's vehicles. JLR automobiles will be created with NVIDIA AI from start to finish, with the platform functioning as the vehicle's central nervous system. In 2025, the cooperation will take shape in the form of a JLR automobile.

The collaboration will introduce automated driving capabilities to Jaguar Land Rover vehicles. On premium luxury vehicles, these solutions will include "active safety, automated driving, and parking systems, as well as driver assistance systems." Furthermore, Nvidia's platform would enable AI functions such as "driver and occupant monitoring and sophisticated visualisation" within the vehicle.

Data released on Wednesday showed that self-charging hybrid cars, which use both an internal combustion engine and a battery, outsold diesel cars in Europe for the first time in 2021, albeit by only 48 vehicles.
According to data from the European Automobile Manufacturers' Association, one out of every eleven cars sold was battery-electric, totaling just fewer than 880,000 vehicles.
